Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. -Marcus Aurelius
When I was taking my Permaculture Design Certification course from Dan Hemenway, a world renowned Permaculture teacher and designer, he shared this valuable piece of advice. He said, “There’s no time to rush.” I really took his words of wisdom to heart and have attempted to embrace that sentiment in my daily life.
Sometimes it’s difficult to slow down. Our society is so focused on material gain, career development, and achieving “success” in life that it’s easy to get caught up in the rat race. This hectic approach to life makes it difficult to focus on self care, self love, and personal development.
They say a picture speaks a thousand words…One of the reasons I blog and post publicly about my naked contemplative moments and adventures is to force myself to make time for myself. It also gives me purpose. I hope you can find a moment today…and everyday…to slow down and simply be, naturally.
From my heart to yours,
