Shower Ritual: Release

You empower what you fight. You withdraw power from what you release.

— Alan Cohen

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, the past few weeks have been full of adventure and a few major challenges. Although I try to focus on the positives, it’s also important to acknowledge the negatives in life. I have a self care practice that helps me release any negative thoughts, feelings or emotions built up within. It’s such a simple yet truly effective way to let go…The base idea is to step into your shower, cup your hands together, allow them to fill with water, then release the water as a symbol of your intention to release whatever you’ve been holding onto. I like to follow up by lathering up and “washing away” my stress… I’ll share a couple of photos here and I’m posting the video on Patreon (Just $5 per month for “All Things Joy;) I hope you’re having a truly blissful Sunday!

From my heart to yours, Joy

I will put your physical and emotional needs first. This is sort of my thing. That was why I want to be friends first, and honestly, if we weren’t able to be friends and build trust then a physical relationship would be off the table. It would just be pointless mutual masturbation. Sexuality should be and is more of holy communion. It needs context, caring, and trust. Anything else just pales by comparison. It seems unattainable anymore or even at all. I’m extremely high on the spectrum and extremely ADHD and bipolar. I have been thinking about the possibility of a coach or therapy for my intimacy shortfalls to date. I was just curious about what you might be able to suggest I might be a good fit for?
