Our Souls are like sky lanterns. They can carry us to the brightest places, or take us down to the darkest corners of the earth. And that’s what makes them beautiful. – Unkown
I just arrived back in Canada after a soul altering road trip. I originally crossed the border into the US on October 4, 2021 and landed back in Canada a few days ago. When I first started driving, I had no idea where I was going. Something in me was urging my soul to create a change for myself. The change started as an external one but rapidly, the shift became internal.
As I drove through Washington, Oregon, Cali, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, I was seeking something. It wasn’t until I landed in New Orleans that I found what I was needing; adventure. I stayed in NOLA for around 2 months. So much happened during that time. It’s more than I can express in a single blog post or even a series. I’ve started writing a book. I imagine it will take me a minute to write, lol. But at least I’ve begun!
I am now back home contemplating. I’m not sure what life has in store for me, but I am filled with hope. Here are a few photos from my journey from my heart to yours:

Hi Joy,
Thanks for sharing your trip and thoughts.
I to am on a journey. The road I have traveled has been long and has mostly taken place inside my head.
I have discovered myself along the way, and I kinda like the guy.
Not perfect but a WIP.
Excellent to read that you are back and best of luck on the writing of your book. Cheers!
Great photos supporting an interesting journey but they don’t tell the story. Guess we’ll have to wait for the book.
Love New Orleans. The people, the food and the architecture. As soon as I stepped foot there I felt I had been there before.
Thats exactly how I felt!
Thank you for sharing some of your awesome adventure!
So happy for you, Joy. Can’t wait to read about your two months in NOLA
