Embarking on a Sabbatical Journey: Discovering the Art of Tantra

For some time now, I’ve been on a journey — a sabbatical, if you will — that has immersed me in soul-searching and deep inner exploration. Many of you have been asking how I’ve been spending my time, and I felt it was the perfect moment to share some vulnerable truths with you all.

As a writer and lifelong seeker, I’ve always yearned for the space to tuck away, insulate myself from the chaos of the external world, and delve deeply into the sanctity of words. This sabbatical has granted me that invaluable space. Yet, my practice didn’t stop at the laptop keys. I have been embracing daily rituals that nourish not just my mind, but also my body and soul. Swimming daily, connecting with my body, practicing self-care through a tantric lens — all have been essential elements of this introspective time.

Yes, you read it right—tantra.

I have completed a 20,000-word manuscript dedicated to the art of tantra and living a tantric life. This transformative experience has led me to further broaden my horizons, and I am thrilled to announce that I am currently expanding this into an intimate and transformative course for those eager to delve into this ancient practice.

Tantra has often been mischaracterized as purely a sexual practice, but it is so much more than that. It’s a spiritual path that invites us to recognize the divine in every aspect of our human experience — and yes, that includes our sexuality. This is not just about physical gratification but about fostering a deep, soulful connection with ourselves and with our partners.

As someone who’s journeyed through the ebbs and flows of life, relationships, and self-discovery, I have realized that it’s the sacred rituals of self-love that keep us grounded and connected. Masturbation is not just an act of momentary pleasure; it’s a potent self-love practice that connects us to the life force energy flowing through us. It enables us to channel our raw, primal energy into higher levels of consciousness and creativity.

Now, I’m committed to sharing these deeply personal findings with you. The course I am developing aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering a safe, non-judgmental space to explore, question, and celebrate your truest self.

So, as I work on putting the finishing touches on this course, I invite you to stay tuned. I promise it will be worth the wait. This is a heartfelt venture, nurtured by my own lived experiences and insatiable curiosity. I’m so excited to take this journey with you, hand in hand, soul connected to soul.

With immense love and gratitude from my heart to yours, Joy

Dear Joy, If your sabbatical brings you near middle Tennessee, you have a place to stay! If you prefer nature, we live on a creek, a pond and Stones River and a great camping site or a house with three extra bedrooms! You are amazing! I would love to meet you!

    1. That is so kind of you thank you Michael. I have not yet been to Tennessee though I know its attracting a lot pf new residents recently.
